Günsan Elektrik's Women who enlighten Life ”project, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Family Labor and Social Services and İŞKUR Sancaktepe Service Center, trained the first female electricians. Within the scope of 508 hours of theoretical and practical training for 3 months, 13 women, who learned the basics of electrification and also practiced in the field, successfully completed their training and received the certificate of "Strong Current Plumber". Günsan Electric CEO Francisco Gil Garcia presented their certificates to the female masters at the ceremony held in Günsan Electric Head Office.

Women will break down taboos in the electricity industry
Francisco Gil Garcia, CEO of Günsan Electric, stated that they would like to contribute to the equality of opportunity for women and men in a sector like the electricity sector where men are intense with the Women who enlighten Life project, stating that they aim to open new business areas for women who do not work and want to have a job, “As Günsan Elektrik, we are changing the traditional structure of the market with our innovative products and solutions.  In this sense, we wanted to add value to our country, economy, society and sector with this project, which is in line with our vision. Compared to OECD countries, female labor force participation in our country is still a bit behind. We launched the Women who enlighten Life Project in order to help to close this gap and create new jobs for women. Hanife Kaymaz, who opened her own shop in Üsküdar, was an inspiration for our project. The proliferation of examples such as Hanife Kaymaz is very important in terms of the destruction of taboos and the disappearance of the sector's perception of the male sector. We took a step as Günsan Elektrik. It is our greatest desire that the continuation of this step, such initiatives be an example to other organizations and reach to a wider audience. ”, he said.

Speaking at the ceremony,
İŞKUR Sancaktepe Service Center Branch Manager Saliha Önen, congratulated the first graduates of the project by mentioning the contributions of Women who enlighten Life Project to sustainable employment. Samandıra Technical Vocational High School teachers who gave the trainings of the project, said that the female master candidates get too far in a short time than they had hoped.
